Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Marianas (COMNAVMARIANAS), representing Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) is responsible for supporting military training in the Marianas. The Mariana Islands Range Complex (MIRC) is used for training activities to develop warfighting skills and maintain the constant state of readiness of military forces. The MIRC is characterized by a unique combination of attributes that make it a strategically important range complex. These attributes include a strategic location on a U.S. terrirtory, urban training environments, expansive airspace, expansive surface & subsurface seaspace, and the ability to use live ordnance in authorized training spaces.
